Play Atlantic City Blackjack FreeMicroGaming software powered casinos have four versions of the Atlantic City Blackjack game available, which includes their original version along with the original Multi Hand game, and both the Gold Series Single Hand and Multi Hand games are available to players. They all play to the same game play rules and offer the same payout structure.

Dealer Rules – The Dealer will always peek when he is showing either an Ace or Ten card, and will Stand on All 17 hands. The Dealer offers insurance to the player whenever he could have a Blackjack hand.

Double Down Rules – A player may Double Down on any two cards he has been dealt, and can Double Down after splitting a hand.

Splitting Rules – A player when playing any of the Microgaming Atlantic City Blackjack variants can split a hand three times to make a total of four new hands in play, but when dealt a pair of Aces then these can just be split once. After splitting Aces just one card is dealt to each split Ace.

Any Split Ace when dealt a Ten or Ten valued card is classed as a 21 hand and not a Blackjack hand. Finally any Ten valued cards both alike and unalike may be Split by the player.

Surrender Rules – The player can, should they choose, perform Late Surrender, this is when the Dealer has checked for a Blackjack and hasn’t got one, and the player then opts to give up his hand for a return of half of his staked amount.

Stakes, Decks, Payouts and House Edge – A winning hand other than a Blackjack hand pays even money, a winning Blackjack hand pays 3 to 2 and a winning insurance sidebet wager pays 2 to 1.

Atlantic City Blackjack requires a minimum stake of 1.00, the most commonly found maximum wager at MicroGaming casinos is 200.00 per hand played, however this may vary from casino to casino. The house edge of MicroGaming’s Atlantic City Blackjack game is 0.36%. A total of eight decks are in play in the shoe on all versions of this game.

Atlantic City Blackjack Playing Tip

Be careful when using the Late Surrender option when playing Atlantic City Blackjack, as this gives many novice players a false sense of security, in as much as they think using it repeatedly will limit there losses.

There are only four different hands which have been dealt to both yourself and the Dealer when Late Surrender is called for and using them at any other time will reduce your winning chances and increase the house edge!
